Trail runs, a summit walk, and an afternoon of feasting, music & autumn light in Tasmania's Derwent Valley.
A day well lived.
A sublime autumn day in Tasmania's Derwent Valley. Run or walk through private farmland, into bush country, up The Single Tree for 360° views, and across the valley we call home. Then settle in for an afternoon Après - regional food and wine, live music, and the last of the autumn light by a century-old Wool Shed. One ticket, the whole day.
A reason to travel; a day to remember.
Cross the Dunrobin Bridge, past Meadowbank Lake, and through classic Australiana bush country. Choose the half marathon, 10km, 5km, or the 6km walk up The Single Tree.
See the routes →Your choice of three dishes from a six-dish menu by Braised Tasmania - savoury-heavy, or double dessert, we’re not judging - with regional wine and spirits, live music, and the last of the autumn light.
Experience in detail →A century-old working Wool Shed with the scent of wool still in the timber, set in the heart of Derwent Valley sheep country, just over an hour from Hobart.
We farm, grow, cook, and live in the Derwent Valley. Welcome to Après Trail.

We're Chris, Sam, Will and Brett. Chris's home grows Tasmania's first juniper orchard, and he runs the course over the Dunrobin Bridge and up Dawsons Road most weekends. Sam grew up here; five generations of his family have farmed this valley. Will is a farm-to-table chef who cooks the feast through his company, Braised Tasmania. The 10km and half marathon trace riverside trails on his farm. Brett farms the land you'll walk, start and finish, and owns the century-old Wool Shed where you'll settle into the afternoon.
